Studio Kin

Identity · 2024

One identity for twelve very different makers.

Studio Kin is a shared workshop for twelve makers, from a bookbinder to a furniture builder. They needed a common identity for open days and online sales that would not erase each maker’s own brand.

Challenge

Twelve members, twelve opinions and a shared budget that had to be agreed by all of them.

Approach

The letters K, I and N interlock in many configurations, and each member received their own arrangement and colour within one system.

Result

Open days now draw visitors for the whole studio. Members use their arrangement alongside their own brands.
