The Fluid Tote

Packaging · 2025

A tote bag that sells itself from the shelf.

Fluid Goods makes bags from recycled sailcloth. Their first retail product, a folding tote, needed packaging that explained the material and stood out in a busy concept store.

Challenge

The packaging had to use as little material as possible and still show the product inside.

Approach

A single printed paper band wraps the folded tote. Wavy shapes cut from the band reveal the fabric, and the story of each sail is printed on the inside.

Result

The band uses one sheet of recycled paper and no glue. The first production run sold out within a month.
